09/28/07 Autumn September 28, 2007

I miss Indian Summer. The week before last it still felt like summer. Today it is definitely fall. The leaves are falling, the days are much shorter, and today we had our first rain storm of the season. It’s time to stock up on soup and hot chocolate. I want to dig out my fall/halloween decorations. We already bought Indian corn and gourds. Now we need to find some pumpkins. Maybe that would be a good activity for this weekend.

The sun is peaking out through the clouds … maybe there is a small vestige of summer left.

You could always go to one of my favorite places: Lone Pine Farms. This Saturday there is an alpaca meet there.

Pumpkins, a corn maze, and alpacas!

Thanks for the tip Mary, I think we’re going to check it out!!!

We went. There were only about 7 or 8 alpacas but they were cute! Thanks to the game this afternoon the place wasn’t very busy so Christopher got to play in the playground without too many other kids. We also took him out to the pumpkin patch to show him how pumpkins grow. There weren’t many left so we picked ours from the big trailer things at the store. I’ll have pictures later.
