I made cranberry orange bread this morning from this recipe:

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Ocean spray cranberries; (fresh or frozen) coarsely chopped
½ cup Chopped nuts
1 tablespoon Grated orange peel
2 cup All-purpose flour
1 cup Sugar
1½ teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Baking soda
2 tablespoon Shortening
¾ cup Orange juice
1 Egg; well beaten

Recipe by: Ocean Spray
Preheat oven to 350. Generously grease and lightly flour a 9″ X 5″ X 3″ loaf pan. Prepare cranberries, nuts and orange peel. Set aside. In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and soda. Cut in shortening. Stir in orange juice, egg and orange peel mixing just to moisten. Fold in cranberries and nuts. Spoon into prepared pan. Bake 60 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on rack 15 minutes. Remove from pan, cool completely. Wrap and store overnight. Makes 1 loaf. Christopher took one bite, said “delicious”, then hasn’t touched it since. I think I’ll be the only one eating it.
